throat of the veridical world

inside the opening the opening the opening
wander beneath the world’s epidermis
through the vertebral chambers of tendon and light
charcoal ribbons of endless perception
like the hallowed intestines of a dream

below is the marrow and meaning of movement
the imagination is embraced by sarcophagal naves
offering themselves without limitation
above this fades phantasmagorical existence
the unchangeable ghosts of present moment

this is where you become no longer I
the throat of the veridical world that is creation
close your eyes and enter the atom darkness
inside the opening the opening the opening
surrender to the wormhole’s loneliness

i sway with the wind
back & forth & back again
i would close my eyes
but i’m scared they’ll never open
the wind is people– that is
their force is innumerable
i let the wind push me
where it desires me to be
i live with memory
an imprint on the soul
fading when touched
my eyes are wide open
memory is people– that is
they come and go
i let memory move me
where it desires me to be

i am the strange one
the corn is not people– that is
their wants don’t concern me
my breath is a queer sound
weird is my nature
my feet are still

covering me like a shroud
