Forss & Carroll – Aug.10

Michael Forss and Amelia Carroll traded art. Amelia shared this painting/collage with Michael, entitled “Continental”:

In response, Michael wrote this poem:

all that is left are

these two lonely dimensions

never enough not ever

* * * * *

Michael shared this poem with Amelia, entitled “My Last Good Breath”:

My last good breath

I fell down the sinkhole and looked up through the water at the blue sky
and remembered my last good breath.

No words, only the pistol in my face and the click as the hammer fell and I
remembered my last good breath.

The crash so loud I couldn’t hear it, the smell of gasoline burning paint and
I remembered my last good breath.

Quiet, black and white turned gray, I held my magic between my hands and
I remembered my last good breath.

Night turning, Venus sits above the curve of the full moon peace on earth
and I remembered my last good breath.

In response, Amelia created this piece, entitled “Invisibility”:
